The Center for Research on Health Care Data Center (CRHC DC) at the University of Pittsburgh serves as the Data Core for The Pittsburgh Study and all its cohorts to create the mechanisms for study data entry and management. The team collaborates with each of the scientific committees and teams to conceptualize and implement statistical analysis plans and facilitate interpretation of results.

As a TPS committee, we’re focused on data management and building and maintaining the data core. We’re responsible for developing online data management tools for all the cohorts. Our greatest outcome so far has been the creation of the TPS Umbrella Database which centralizes information for managing research participant profiles.

We’re also assisting with third party data integration from multiple sources and providing data management support where needed. We’re also assisting with third party data integration from multiple sources and providing data management support where needed.  Using APIs and custom programming we are able to seamlessly transmit and share data across multiple platforms in real-time.  This allows teams to make faster decisions, report timely results, and use their data however and whenever they need to.
